A Team Approach

The Lone Peak Hospital Pediatric Craniofacial Team offers a coordinated approach to the diagnosis and care of patients with cleft lip, palate, and other craniofacial disorders. Children born with craniofacial abnormalities are subject to a confusing array of problems that are often extensive and complete. Each child is unique and any treatment or intervention required must be individualized.

A team care approach for these children arose when health care providers recognized that all of these problems could not be treated by any one specialist. Children with cleft palate/craniofacial abnormalities require a team of highly trained professionals who evaluate at regular intervals.

Our team of specialist meets to discuss all aspects of your child’s development and together plan coordinated, comprehensive care. This approach ensures that none of your child’s needs are overlooked.
