During the current COVID-19 pandemic, Lone Peak Hospital’s focus and commitment has always been and continues to be on the safety of all patients, caregivers, and members of our community. We appreciate the community’s support as we put visitor restrictions in place as a temporary step to keep our environment as safe as possible.

As the state of Utah begins to reduce restrictions and based upon current pandemic statistics, we feel it is time to reduce the visiting restrictions at Lone Peak Hospital. Beginning May 26, 2020 at 7am, the following visitor guidelines will apply –

  • All visitors must be in good health. No visitors will be allow if they are currently positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for pending results from COVID-19 testing.
  • All visitors must be at least 18 years of age
  • All visitors must complete a short series of questions about symptoms and a temperature check at all entrances
  • Wear a face mask at all times either brought from home or provided to you at the entrances
  • Wash their hands with either soap and water or hand sanitizer to help prevent the spread of viruses and disease
  • Maintain social distancing from others while in the facility

The following visitor limitations for Emergency Department, Imaging Department, Medical/Surgical, PCU, ICU, and Labor and Delivery –

Emergency Department

Patients with or without suspected or active COVID-19 –

  • One healthy visitor, greater than 18 year old visitor with mask worn at all times. This visitor must remain in the patient room throughout the visit.

Imaging Department

Patients without or with suspected or active COVID-19 –

  • Patient only, no visitors allowed in waiting room unless patient is a minor or patient needs care assistance

Medical/Surgical, PCU, and ICU

Patients without suspected or active COVID-19

  • Two healthy visitors, greater than 18 year old with masks worn at all times.

Patients with suspected or active COVID-19

  • One healthy visitor, greater than 18 years old that lives in the same household with mask worn at all times.

Labor and Delivery

Patients without suspected or active COVID-19

  • Two healthy designated visitors, greater than 18 year old with masks worn at all times.

Patients with suspected or active COVID-19

  • One healthy designated visitor, greater than 18 years old that lives in the same household with mask worn at all times.

Exceptions to this new visiting policy will be made by the Administrator on call, House Supervisor, and Department Director
